Midday Shooting In Port Jefferson Station Sends Man To Hospital With Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Port Jefferson Station – Suffolk County Police today arrested an undomiciled man after he allegedly shot another undomiciled man in Port Jefferson Station on Saturday.

During a dispute, Alain Jean, undomiciled, shot another undomiciled man striking him multiple times on Union Avenue at approximately 12:35 p.m.

The 22-year-old victim was transported via ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.

Jean, 22, was charged with Assault First Degree and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on June 12.

The investigation is continuing and detectives ask that anyone having information please call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652. All calls will remain confidential.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
