Road Closure Scheduled For Rocky Point Downtown Concert Series On Tuesday Evening
Rocky Point – On Tuesday, August 16th, Miller Place native Mike DelGuidice will be featured alongside the Billy Joel tribute band, Big Shot, for the third performance in the Downtown Rocky Point Summer Concert Series, hosted by Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker and Rocky Point VFW Post 6249.
The following Tuesday, August 23rd, the ultimate Beatles tribute band, Strawberry Fields, will be the final performers of the series. Both concerts will be held at 7 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Rocky Point (614 Route 25A, Rocky Point).
Due to the popularity of the Big Shot performance, a portion of Main Street from Rocky Point Landing Road to Broadway in Rocky Point will be closed beginning at 5:30pm on August 16th. Smoking and alcohol consumption on church grounds is strictly prohibited. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for both concerts is August 30th. The concerts are free of charge, but Long Island Cares will be collecting nonperishable food, personal care items, and pet food.
