Lake Grove Woman, Struck And Killed By Car In Stony Brook
Stony Brook – Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a woman in Stony Brook.
Stephanie Semler, 51, of Lake Grove, was crossing Route 347 and Moriches Road at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 10th when she was struck by a 2016 Honda Civic being driven by a 25-year-old Nesconset woman.
Semler was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital by the Stony Brook Fire Department where she died from her injuries. The driver of the Honda Civic stayed at the scene and was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
